True, but it's not just due to wheelbase. The "regular" swift runs more relaxed settings, and seems more prone to understeer due to the soft suspension.....not that the base models handle badly that is.

It's the Swift Sport's ride height and camber setup which helps. It actually can promote mild oversteer in the right conditions/correct power application. That's also a function of the stiffer suspension, while retaining a rear torsion bar I imagine.

Yeah....in a front drive....I know....oversteer? Believe it....I was caught by surprise a few times.

The only let down is the open diff in front.

I got this in the normal swift a couple of times on the old power engine.. but it usually corrects itself with little or no corrections ..... My question ? what causing the higher crash rate of the SSS to the SS .. That I know of its 6 sss - 2 ss and out of that its 5 with driver-side impact  ... Could it really be the oversteer snap back

It isn't really snap back...but yes, IMHO it's primarily due to the higher speed/"dotish-idiot-driver" capability of the SSS. That often leads to drivers going faster than the road/conditions/traffic will allow, and then the crap happens. In certain scenarios, the nono-typical-understeer feel of the SSS can perhaps contribute....but it's not something you really get on say....highway driving. I'm talking ACTUAL cornering.

As for the "oversteer", it's not something bad, there is a VERY slight tendency to oversteer...which is actually how other "performance cars" are setup also (including some RWD cars with aggressive LSDs, like the MX-5 NCEC). It helps the car corner alot better, but isn't as idiot proof for the ham-fisted driver - typical understeer is what protects those types of drivers.

I'm still trying to work my way out of ham-fisted ness. :D :D

Any recommendation on the place in santa rosa?

Also, what about a place supposedly in California that was mentioned earlier in this thread.. Any info?

Finally, small cars like the SSS just so much easier to throw into the corners and power out... They don't really have too much extra car hanging off the back axle so that always helps handling..
How much one of them going for now? I actually enjoy going into Lifestyle in Sando.. they treat their customers well unlike certain other firms

regular

Any of those SSS that crashed scrapping? I wanna upgrade to SSS suspension if anyone knows someone selling their shocks/springs.
