well i'm considerin buyin a grand vitara PBC series...i was wonderin if anyone could tell me what I should look out for and if there were any problems that I should be on the look out for considering it's age and so forth
^^......Well first of all you should get history of the vehicle, like service history, parts changed, accident history, vehicle mileage, if the engine has been changed or rebuilt.
Check to see that the 4WD is working (if it's a 4x4 vehicle), check the usual engine oil & coolant.
Also check the under carriage of the vehicle......some people may just "flash over" the underneath of the vehicle with paint and hide flaws, etc.

the kits are available for the low compression m16a (sx4) ... but with the oreintation of the vitara engine the space might be a problem.
Well I can tell you one thing for sure the engine space is at its maximum remember the vitaras changed the rare not the front on the different models so i am using 1600 and they are models using v6 and I have heard of v8 Vitara so trust me space is there I just want the tips i need to get going also can you tell me the type of gear box that im using if you know Because i have a very light pressure plater VERY! I need to upgrade my clutch and also does M16A mean I can use all engine parts for the swift on my engine?.
I saw this vehicle as well. It was the only zuki up that side with some huge arse tyres and a lift kit. Funny, the POPO was giving him a rub down, inspection - i passed by and was wondering why - everything looked legit.
Is it illegal to have a lift kit ?
Is it illegal to have the number plate well visible attached to the winch ?
Other than that i dont know why Babylon was harassing the man...
Question
I want to know if it is safe to use fuel treatments on the suzuki swift sport, i dont know if the fuel system has a special coating like the intake manifold
Hi all new to Trinituner, like the fact there's a Suzuki specific forum as I recently got a 3 cyclinder (F6A ) turbo /intercooler automatic jimny and looking for the intake manifold and intercooler that comes with it.Will trade the replaced parts as they are for manual jimny.
I bought myself a Suzuki Carry 1.3 (TBG Breadvan) a few months ago with an overheating problem. about 3 mechanics went through this engine, each one changed the head gasket and each one had a different story for why it blew in the first place. First one said bad throttle body, Change the C. head gasket and sensors on the body and send it home to me. 24 hours later, temp gauge halfway and the engine stalls... Open radiator and it dry as hell. pour in fresh water and it pitching back out as I try to start. (Wrecker service again!!) second mechanic change head gasket, remove the thermostat above the intake manifold and changed my radiator (which was just fine by the way) and claimed "Ta-Da!" 24 hours later I'm on the CR Highway in the rain waiting for the $600.00 wrecker again. 3rd and final mechanic, took the head and block out and had it "shaved?" and "pressure tested?" and changed the head gasket and a couple other things on my little breadvan. 2 days later: I find myself in PALO SECO (I'm from arima by the way) flaggin' down a drop cause the wrecker too busy to come for me anytime soon. In my frustration I have had it up to hare and wish to swap out engines. I tried to find a replacement Carry 1.3 engine with absolutely NO LUCK. Anyone out there can tell me exactly where to find a substitute that can be swapped in even by the lamest mechanic on earth. (I would probably flip if I get something that I can actually get parts for if the excrement hits the fan) The van is really cool but I cant enjoy it if I can't drive it. By the way... it's a RWD with gears.
Get a mechanic who can/will pressure test the entire system and double check his work. Seems to me that you have a crack in either the block or the head.
Best bet might be the most difficult, replace the head and block.
Easier said than done bud. Know any responsible mechanics in Arima and environs? Or better yet... any idea where to get a head and block for my van?. It's been hell trying so far. Someone did tell me they had a fuel injected turbo engine (with gearbox) for a jimny for sale... $4000.00 With any luck maybe my gearbox could be fitted to it.... maybe...????? Or are there any engines that can be fitted into my vehicle at all? I got burned 3 times allready trying to fix the old one.
Sounds like a fun conversion to the turbo 660cc.. Given that its a rwd setup, should be relatively easy. Not too familiar with the Suzuki engines so google it. There's a huge scrap yard in Mon Desir (bout 2 minutes drive after Mosquito creek). They may have parts for your van.
mervynjulian, the 660cc should work fine with your gearbox, once your breadvan had a G13B engine! The japan suzuki carry uses the same 660cc from the jimny! Not 100% sure on the gearbox, you will need to check it, but the engine will work
