2010 Ford Ranger 2.5T kickdown issue

Postby kadikobo » May 16th, 2016, 7:13 am

Good Morning Tuners
Recently I've been getting a kickdown issue with my Ranger
Starts normal. Accelerates normal.
When i decide to kickdown, all lights on dash come on and engine shuts off.
Starts back normal. Engine light stays on for about 20 seconds and then comes off.
Carried it back to company and was told the problem was air flow.
Changed Air filter and still getting the same problem.
Also, bled out the fuel pump, same issue.

was told i may need to get my injectors serviced or change my fuel pump/fuel filter or change my air flow sensor.

Anyone with any thoughts?

Bro check fuel rail pressure at high speed and see if there is a pressure drop.It could be the pressure sensor or return check valve.
