Hey guys.. Need some help. My dad lost the keys for his ranger.. Got the key changed but the immobilizer is the problem..

The dealership says it will take more than a month to import it and we really can't wait that long..

Any suggestions?? Has this ever happened to anyone with a ford who can share their experience?

Thanks much!

well if u got into the vehicle, since you got a key, you can just get a technician to install an external alarm with immobilizer(eg, VIPER 350PLUS) and uninstall the old immobilizer.

not sure if u aware but it may not be that simple with those keys with the chip / immobilizer. installing a viper will just give you entry and additional immobilizer but not bypass the factory immobilizer.
