known issues, the model with the 2.5wlt, the 3rd-4th synchro hub breaks, the spigot on the input shaft goes causing a clack clack noise,failure to address this issue causes vibration on the mainshaft causing grating,grinding and eventually the gear will lock....
2013 model, 5 speed gearbox is a waste of time, gear locks in 5th damaging an internal part known as a reverse lock, 5th synchro ring starts to grind away,problem is a manufacturers issue,eventually leading to them replacing it with a 6 speed, the 6 speed box is almost identical to the 2011 ford mustang.
the 5 speed box can be repaired and modded to overcome that issue, problem is ford dont stock gearbox parts and to repair it,parts will have to be shipped in......
