Should I sell my BT-50 or Keep it

Postby mbharath » May 22nd, 2021, 1:48 pm

Good day tuners,
I own a 2015 bt50 and I'm getting $125k for it. Vehicle works perfect and is doing 113000km. I still owe 72k on it and was deciding on whether to sell and pay off my outstanding amount and put the extra and buy back something or keep it.

What kind of problems I may run into in the future with these vehicles and what kind of cost to repair should they arise.
Any info given would be very much appreciated.

2015? What spec? 4x4?... Honestly man we had one beating 210k kms and no issues other than regular wear and tear. We bought another in 2018 and it hit 120k kms now and follows the same trend. Literally only issue we had was the AC actuator thing but that's a easy fix...

113kkms normal, especially saying you have outstanding payments, if you sell you'll have around 40k down payment??? That's back to the bank again for a 7 years for a new vehicle.

They honestly don't and didn't give us any set of problems once you do your maintenance on time.

I vote keep it.

Also what kind of service you recommend? So far I just did basic engine oil and filters, I do what the manual has in it, in terms of intervals etc. Do you guys service EGR or replace and how often.

We basically did 6500 km ritual oil, fuel filter, oil filter and air filter. (Motul Specific)

Diesel kleen cleaner like once every 2 months

100,000k belts, diff oils and transmission fluid (note there is a transmission filter to change)
We serviced the EGR once in the previous van at around 160,000k because it just had a deeper exhaust note and lazy feeling so we did it then.

Changed shocks once over it's 210k and tyres twice. Other than that mint. It's living healthy in Tobago right now
