ssl quoted 1829.50 for the cross closest to the diff.
also a clutch kit comprising of clutch plate 2900 pressure plate 1450 bearing 536
now who ever did this repair work? and which mechanic you chose and why? advise me on the do's and dont's kindly.. located south area. im kinda new to the diesel and manual vehicles so im totally lost as to the reliable mechanics....

I know this is an old post, but I just saw it and had to have a little input.
With regards to the cross: Anyone with a bench vice can change the crosses. All you additionally need are two sockets and a vice grip pliers. I was going to do a write up on it, but I managed to find a youtube video on how I personally do it at home.
