Well, I assume you could ask the people at Southern Sales these kinds of things. There's also RX8Club

^^^^ no you can't ask SS because they never imported them.
Nice car, fun to drive. Very, very thirsty on gas.....I mean very like you cant even imagine. You need to top up the oil regularly its advisable you check it between every other gas tank fill up because it burns some oil naturally (its how the engine was designed to work). Never use synthetic oil in the engine ...never. You can use Idemitsu branded oil as its a special formula for these engines
Other strange things are that the coils burn out almost as fast as the plugs so that is an added expense in maintenance.
There is not alot of support for parts and they are a bit expensive generally. The car is full sensors of as it is drive by wire..so sensors control steering input etc. These sensors are expensive and prone to go without warning.
Its a great car, fun to drive..revs like a bike. I think its only worth the hassle if its a type-S manual. If your pardner is just a poser and wants a nice lookin car and not ready for the maintenance, this isn't the right car for him. That's why people buy them and sell them so fast...they not ready for the small inconveniences...but its a great car. Hope this helps.
