Water Bubbling In Overflow Bottle

Mazda BJ, when the engine is running i noticed the water bubbling in the overflow bottle, can anyone tell me the reason for this ????

From experience it can be a faulty radiator cap, or thermostat may be sticking.
That caused me to blow my top tank on the radiator.
Change both and see if it helps.

BTW I have a stant thermostat for sale PM me for details.

head gasket blow near combustion chamber.....are you loosing water???

KIRAN-TEK , im losing water in the overflow but thats because of the boiling of the water or so i think ....

i had the same problem with my engine, head gasket give out....it happens, with the age of vehicles. a new head gasket an ur good to go..... if ur mech tell u buy a head an block cuss him... but i suggest u dont stick get it repaired....

check the water hoses in the back of the engine, also water jackets 2 see if ur losing water there, and is ur fans coming on in time? also could be the thermostat

thanks for all the advice, now for an update, i changed the radiator cap from the standard .9 rated to a 1.1, i havent seen any sign of the bubbling water in the overflow, but i now notice steam or smoke coming from the area of the alternator after driving for about 45mins.,.,.,the fans come on an i believe the thermostat is ok

Did you check the thermostat to see if it is working? To test simply take it out and put it in a pot of a boiling water, and see if it opens

i was informed if the thermostat wasnt working, the temp guage would go up quickly from a cold start

do you get a funny smell?
u need to check your cooling fan?
as well as sometimes it could be the radiator need flushing.....

have the same problem with my mazda 323 lx , driving it so for 2 yrs now, and nutting ever happen, well atleast not yet..lol

losing water + no leaks = head gasket has a hole

also if pressure is not holding, the water will boil= reduction in cooling
therfore engine is overheating, but temp stays the same, overheating can occur if you run no thermostat
