for 2005 there was a model called the sp23... which was like a limited edition of the 2.3l (naturally aspirated) model.... perhaps this is what he got

yes confirmed its a MZR 2.3 turbo. there is a blue Mazdaspeed 3 rolling around in north. Also spotted a Black Mazdaspeed 6 also in north.
