You take out the bearing yet? From experience I know that the bearing number is on the seal. Once the number is visible the people in the parts place can get the exact bearing for you.

So it's possible to replace the bearing without replacing the entire hub assembly?

I know on some cars like the B14, the hub assembly has to be replaced.

I'm not sure if it's a scam done by some mechanics to make the job easier or it's the parts place just ripping you off.

Anyway Turbo thanks for the info

Some mechanics would indeed tell you to replace the whole hub assembly to make the job easier. But then there are vehicles such as the accent where you genuinely have to replace the assembly.

Did you get it checked by the mechanic first?
