There are such units available for the 2.0 and 2.3 engines but the question is if it can directly bolt on to the MZR Z6V unit in your car remains unclear. Why not have it made for you locally at LifeWear Mufflers Ltd., San Juan? They will take the original and stamp a new plate piece that would allow it to line up and it'll take a day and cost you $1,000. TT thereabouts! But indeed its free flow alright and you can run a 1.5-2" piping exhaust but have you considered if it'll affect your warranty?
If successful, install some light weight 16" rims in your car and have Mileage Mack inflate it with Nitrogen, not only would you feel the difference in your ride but you will knock off more than a second I'm sure over your 0-60 and top speed!
Good luck.

i dont understand, , what you mean "stamp a new plate piece that would allow it to line up", das like what?, a mold or somn?, can they just make back from the manifold using larger pipes, shapin it the same as the original to use back the original attachment points?...and is 2" the largest diameter rcommended?, i read somewhere that torque is generated between the engine and up to the end of the exhaust header, but i dont know for sure. i know that the car came with a 4-1 manifold, but i read that that the 4-2-1 will expand the powerband, while the 4-1 gives more high end gains, i thinking about getting an exhaust manifold made as well, well thanks for the response, i will check lifewear and if anybody else knows about this stuff, lemme know, thanks, oh yeah, about the warranty, right now i doin research and getting everything together, in a couple months the warranty will be gone, i want to do some business with this car, i hear i could drop engine compression with a new gasket and possibly turbo it, all the info i could get will be great, thanks again

yeah......4-2-1 header would be better but my other car came with such and acceleration has not improved even though my cracked manifold was replaced with a brand new original OEM. Some engines respond better so I wouldn't doubt your vehicle.
Don't turbo that car.....its crazy and it wasn't built for it. You like your Mazda 3 huh? Wanna bust those wannabe suckers on the road huh? Consider selling your car and take that money and buy a roro Mazda 3 MPS.....its a 2.3 DISI turbo doing 0-60 in low 5's so do the math. Your 1.6 wouldn't last long especially with all those fancy electronics it came with SVT and all.
Get the rear disc brake setup found in roro versions of the 1.5 and 1.6 and have it installed on your car. Same size as those on the 2.0 and 2.3 models I think.
