As we know OEM is always best...aftermarket is typically generic and offer no performance upgrade.

A mechanic interfere with the idle screw? You need to clean the iacv

Could be your MC failing. Did you do any brake fluid change any time recently?

MC = master cylinder.

If you didn't do any brake work to the car as you only recently got it, was it making the noise from the first day?

That's a leaking brake booster or brake booster line. The brake booster line has a check valve on it.

^^^ Not sure about Central, but Dollar Savers (El Socorro and Bamboo) had the best price when I was looking for these earlier this year - they were $285 each for the rears.

They are the only authorised distributor for KYB in T&T (according to what they told me) and the shocks were in fact original KYBs made in Japan.

If you go anywhere else to buy these, make sure you don't buy the fake JAPKYB shocks. The box colour an writing look very close to KYB's trademark packaging.

I posted a thread with pics and details of the rear shocks but the search isn't finding it. I too was shocked when I found out the price, and even more so that they were made in Japan.

Call them first and confirm availability and price, and update here if/when you get them for the benefit of others as well.

Hey what's the best transmission oil to be used on the 07 Mazda 3. I'm getting a vibration when I put it in reverse at times. All my mounts are good so I want to try changing the oil.

Any suggestions to this problem would be helpful also thanks

They're a few that work well, and thus would be subjective based on people's opinions. Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF and Redline D4 ATF have been reported to be among the best.

Personally I've used the Redline in mine and have no complaints, so I would recommend it.

Concerning the vibration, the fluid change is a good place to start. Are you sure all the mounts are good? It's very hard to tell by just visual inspection alone.

Mobil removed their specification for MV. The amsoil or redline atf is fine.

Thanks for the info. And the mounts are good I checked them on numerous times just to be certain. If I put it in reverse and don't mash immediately it's fine but once I mash as soon as it's in gear it vibrates then stops

Ooh didn't realise that. My info was from when I was researching for recommended fluids back when i got the car in 2009. Since I went Redline and was happy with it, I never followed up on Mobil ATF after that. Didn't think they would've changed the specifications. Good to know.

@ rockey - No probs. Glad to hear its the same price from when I got mines in March. I use the NGK Iridium BKR5EIX-II plugs. The Denso plugs work great as well ---> viewtopic.php?f=35&t=167754&start=420#p4934561

Also using the redline d4 atf in mines.

Some owners I have spoken to said they got original mazda MV fluid at various parts places so check around. Dont know if Double R in Balmain has or one person said they got their on Ramsaran st. Chaguanas - parts place just before the junction by the court house... cant remember name offhand.
