Well the car was real sluggish before the last service and when I cleaned the throttle body and maf I got a noticeable improvement in performance albeit at the crazy gas consumption.

img238.imageshack.us/img238/2559/atfmv.jpg ...get that transmission oil for ur car from amazon.

Coolant is this. Check on your coolant gasket if its FL22

http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Mazda-000 ... fl22+mazda

And please dont use any mercon v crap guys.... last thing u'd want is a broken transmission. ITS MV (type5)

Also, when it comes to fluid, dont go cheap. Buy the OEM stuff. I don't go redline transmission fluid btw. I buy all my stuff OEM.

Works great.

Its a really easy car to maintain. One of these days, i'll make a total maintenance schedule from 1000km to 200,000 km and up. I'll put all the locks and hinges to be lubed. When the filters changed, When the axle cv joint boots need to be replaced, brakes, shocks, shock mounts and when the transmission fluid, steering fluid, brake fluid and such needs to be bleed, flushed or replaced.

One day when i got alot of time i'll build up the maintenance schedule for u guys for the mz 1.6 (mazda 3)

Also i'll put the oem fluids and parts you'll need to get. Either locally or to order it from amazon.

Maybe next month. Also i'll make it in a new topic.

snight01, are liquids such as transmission fluid and coolant allowed to be brought in via skybox?

konartis, check this link regarding the gas tank lid:

http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/yhst-248 ... door10.pdf

3. Transmission fuel change at 45,000. most do it at 40,000. Redline has met the standard. Also consider of changing the transmission filter. Will use redline. Can you tell me how many quarts to do flush?

Last time I drained and refilled trans fluid, I used the Redline D4 ATF. I think is about 8 quarts to do a complete drain and refill.

1. The fuel filter changes at 50,000. Did you change it?

is dropping the gas tank the only way to change this?

lol no... the fuel filter looks like a catalyst. it unscrews and the new one is installed. I only changed it in my mazda 3 2007 twice.

Well i ordered some transmission and coolant liquids for my car so we'll see how it goes

The fuel filter on my '07 Mazda3 is located by the drivers side rear wheel, taking off the wheel will help with accessibility.

On another note, I had to get a new clutch for my AC, cabin filter and service. Cost 2k for almost 4hrs work at West Kool in Diego.

That is a herculean task my friend, when i had to replace my cabin filter i had to unbolt the fuse distribution panel and twist up like a yoga master under the dash. Make sure and take it to someone reputable.

i need to change my brake master cylinder seal.

Just off the bat does anyone know where I can get it outside of SS?

Apparently this one seal is like trying to find oil

10w30 is the recommended weight for our climate. I personally don't like RP.....goes in purple, comes out purple.
