Aftermarket Car Stereo Installation for 2005 Mazda B2500 4x2

Postby scotty_buttons » September 5th, 2009, 5:28 pm

Tuners,

Looking for help plz. Wanna install a new deck in dad's van..but wanna find out the proper way to remove the factory deck instead of risking any further damage to the van by trial and error. Just have problems finding out how to remove the deck itself. and if someone can provide a wiring diagram too, that'll be great!
Thanks

ok there is 2 small panels on each side of the deck carefully remove them with a small flat head screwdriver. underneath, you will see two small holes on each side. take 4 thin long rods and put them in these holes and push them outwards(left and right) this will release the locks on each side and the deck will slide forward. Here is the wiring diagram:

Direct : Blue/Red St
Acc : Blue/ White St.
ILL : Red/ Black St.
Ground : that MASSIVE black wire cant get a better ground!!
Front right speaker : Blue/Red St (+) Blue/Yellow St. (-)
Front left speaker : Blue (+) Blue/White St. (-)
Rear Left (by the deck) Pink/Blue St. (+) Grey/ Blue St. (-)
Rear Right (by the deck) Grey/Red St(+) Grey (-)

just do your normal deck testing and u should be ok.

for all who dont know i am also AcousticEng LOL :D :D
