Hey

I would really like to get some advice on how to go about doing the rear brakes conversion from drum to discs on my 2002 bug eye.

Which brake setup should I look for and what else would I need? And if anyone has the conversion, please PM me details.

Thanks alot.

There are a few options you can go with - legacy, STi or WRX 2-pots. legacy and WRX are 5x100 so you will be able to retain your wheels - If you are doing STi then you would need pre-2004 spindles to keep things 5x100

Either way, you would probably need the following:

1. Rear Spindles with handbrake assembly
2. Calipers
3. Rotors
4. Brakelines
5. Pads

You can probably check the usual used dealers in the bamboo. Gobin, ramkissons etc.

They will also have a very good idea of the exact parts you will need for the conversion.

^legacy will not work...you need SG5/ 02-07 rear disc brake setup. Ensure the assembly you're getting matches your car regarding AWD/ FWD.

AWD rear disc brake assembly and FWD uses a different shock mounting location. It's a direct bolt on, I have done it several times and also supply the parts to get it done.
