good evening folks, i had this turbo in my 03 cross sport, however the exhaust side started cracking around the wastegate, was told that i should replace the whole thing however i couldnt find any in the bamboo, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you can't get the turbo, check around a few garages and see if you can get a back end from a blown turbo to fit the CHRA and cover.

The cracking turbine housing is a common problem with the series of IHI turbos that use that specific housing.

Airwik has some sound advice and from my knowledge, it is a IHI RHF55 P18 casting and is the same housing that is used on the VF35, VF39, VF30 and VF43. That should help you widen your search for a used housing (verify fitment before though).

Alternatively, you can buy the exhaust housing new from one of the east Asian build houses from ebay (Kinugawa, Mamba etc.).
