Hey peeps,
I'm looking forward to buying my 1st Subaru,
was thinking of getting a 06wrx.
however I wanna get an idea of what the cost of owning one is like.
for example maintenance.

100k service is the can run u 6k average with oem parts. Be sure u have a good mechanic lined up. Bird, Barry or Ross Vieira. These guys operate by strictly appointments. There may be a few others. Parts ain't all that expensive. Dave from Valsayn is the most reasonable. For foreign used parts talk to Rodney from Ramkissoon's. Ordering parts online is not a bad option either.

routine maintenance isn't that expensive its when you start modifying...

your 100k series would cost you around $3500

oil change - 5qt oil (avg $400-$500 for full synthetic, oil filter oem $85), plugs twice a year.
oem parts - tuner imports, gobin, massy (their prices aren't that bad), adah
after market parts - tuner imports
used parts - gobin
body parts aren't too hard to get but like grille, bumper etc are and most times you end up going to massy

get a good tuner to run thru the car - ryan do all my work

Timing belt change by Bird is $1200 to $1600. It depends on the car really.

Saw this and another that massy has for sale. The price caught my attention. Seems to be non turbo and a bit fishy. After all the company is selling a 2007 car in 2015. Unless it was used as a company vehicle.

There isn't an oem kit for 100k service. All parts required are sold separately. There is the gates timing belt kit that alot of ppl use cuz it's much cheaper ie cutting the bill by 25%
