2015/2016 Forester XT

Postby kareemkhan » September 12th, 2015, 10:40 am

Just bought this one from Massy.
I have to say, i've missed a turbo charged subaru. Had one before. A WRX that I converted into an STI but with a hell of a twist.
Still breaking in the engine...literally brand new. Got it 3 days ago.
Havent tried any of the different driving settings as yet..still sticking to the default "I" setting.
Any advice for a returning subie owner? I think ill need a crash course to get familiar again. LOL

Thanks man but it came with the new touchscreen Bluetooth deck and Harmon Kardon System. So that should be sufficient for now until I want a bit more boom. Lol.

Harman Kardon, good stuff.
They are the parent company for jbl, infinity, dbx and quite a few other nice brands.

just a little update:
driving nicely so far
recently heard a odd sound while driving...slight whistle while mashing the gas...not a turbo spooling kind of sound...it sounded different..like a boost leak...but i noticed no sign of loss in power...and it didnt happen again since.
waiting to go in for 5k first service...clocking around 3700 right now

Hey sorry for the late response neexis. The gas consumption all depends on your driving as with any other vehicle. It is recommended to put in premium so you know to fill a tank is a beyotch. 300 each time. Lol. I don't drive slowly so I fill mine maybe once a week or so. If I cant get premium I put in unleaded with a octane booster. The car runs like a thief tho. It's a lot of fun to drive. Especially on sport extreme lol.

What body of oil do you use?
I just picked up the 2012 Forester XT EJ255 engine. It's a local from Massy.

Hey ppl. Where can I get a nice double muffler and piping set for the Forrester? Thinking about changing it but want to make sure it will fit and will not void the warranty.
