Can anyone properly explain the SI Drive system to me?i'm trying to figure out how come legacies equipped with it run past the older models (06) which don't have it, since its just supposed to be a throttle controller:s

si drive come with a vf44 turbo where az non si drive comes with vf38 which is smaller. also aside from different throttle inputs it has two mappings so the sport is alot more aggressive than the non si drive .

First time I've heard that.
It is a throttle map.
The non SI drive LGT has economy/ sport
SI drive one has economy/ sport / sport sharp
Same max output.
Sport sharp is the same except you get full throttle with just a light press of the accelerator.

So the attached graph shows the engine response with each drive option selected...is it safe to assume that the non
Si Drives run the same way (in terms of engine output in S#) as those equipped with the Si drive??

Throttle maps on non si drive cars can be adjusted to give about 30% more response.
