WTK: how do i receive local stations on OEM Legacy stereo?

Postby locorolla » July 17th, 2009, 4:47 pm

Hey folks, please help me with this one.

I have an '05 Legacy with the OEM stereo system, i wuold like to know wat i need to do to convert / modify the radio to receive local (T&T) radio stations.

The jack for the antenna is a 2-pin OEM jack, i actually got a signal booster with the car (unistalled though) - that thing that looks like a long circular cartridge with an RCA male jack on one end and a an insulated wire sticking out as well.

Any assistance would be appreciated................

Bless up............

Recently starting having some tuner radio problems, an intermittent loss of reception, sometimes is restores within minutes.
I suspect the antenna probably losing power. Anyone ever experienced this?

I started getting that problem when my band expander started failing..

I purchased a dash kit and installed a double din deck. I got the 2 pin subaru antenna conversion cable from a guy in St. Helena(Shizard). He did the install also

Kept the factory Mc Intosh Amp and speakers.. Install took around 30 mins
Very pleased with the install
