DIY Radiator Shroud

Postby HYPERFORMANCE » April 17th, 2009, 10:28 pm

For all DIY's persons with Legacy BL5 model ( guess it works for all once you follow the instructions)
I made a radiator shroud, you need the following:
1. tools to remove air intake vent- screwdriver
2. remove bolts for radiator and bonnet clip size 10and 12 mm spanner/socket will do
3. make template with bristol board or any like material that can easily bend. da you need a pencil - scissors/ object to cut shape.
4. cut template on aluminium(you need some good hand skills, tools are file, steel rule, shears or hand notcher machine, drill, a hammer for bending etc...
5.Some patience and time to get it right
6. enjoy the look - it helps send air throught the radiator, instead of over. average cost is about 60USD!!
7. good time to make some decals and place them on it ( I have not done this as yet.
A GOOD MAN IS SKILL WITH BOTH HAND AND TOOL!!!
IT'S WHAT MAKE A SUBARU A SUBARU
