Perhaps you get a full exhaust and cold air intake. The best part is to get an upgraded ECU or your car.

As with all Subies you should start with freeing up the exhaust a good cat back will help .You can get these from the US or Japan HKS silent power or ES Premium are good choices. The American Spec 2.5 Legacy uses a different turbo so do not order a turbo back from the US . It is not recommended that you use aftermarket intake on the Legacy you can do a silencer delete on your stock airbox and use a good drop in filter like K&N or blitz. Probably you will see the most gains from an ECU refash from ECUTEK which will optimise your cars performance for our local gas octane rating and give you alittle more boost etc.
The Japn Spec Legacy Turbo Automatic is rated at 250hp and the manual about 275 although some ratings put it at 280 you can also do upgraded clutch, engine pulley, brakes etc.

as for ECUTEK, it is a good choice. remember tho, it will lock your ECU, so you will not be able to log or flash maps on your own after a ecutek tuning.
they are excellent non the less. with bigger injectors on your longblock, you could attain near 300whp, or possibly a very little more.
any more of your questions about tuning can be answered here.
