ASX brake pads brand?

Postby wagonrunner » December 31st, 2020, 6:17 pm

Any ASX users here.
What brand brake pads do you use?
Very relaxed driving style. - vehicle almost doing 80,000km, and may be the first times pads are being changed.

I recently used a Bosch pad in a similar sized suv and so far so good and price point was also not bad.

ended up going with the Bosch. $295.
box included grease, and wear indicator clips.

Bosch brake pads generally work well.
I'm still testing the longevity on the newer formulation pads (blue and silver box) that are sold compared to OE.
The older formulation (blue and yellow box) wears quickly compared to OE; like in a third of the mileage you would get from an OE set. The older formulation also required that you take it easy for the first couple hundred kilometers; until they are bedded in properly
This has been my experience in a different vehicle

I've used bosch on other vehicles, get normally 80-120,000 on a set.

These (original set from the firm) were doing 80,000km, only changed it because something embedded and was cutting the pad (squealing). plenty meat left on the other three, but as i was already there.
