Foreign used tranmission

when someone buys a foreign used transmission in the Bamboo do they have to change the oil? or can it be installed and used with the oil it came with?

It'll probably be a unanimous 'yes' to almost all parts involving oils; engines, transmissions, differentials, brake systems, power steering systems. Why keep the old oil in?

They come empty as any fluid seen leaking from a container would be returned to port of origination.
