Starting Issue CY Lancer

Hey guys, got a CY Lancer 2012 (4A92)

Last 2 weeks or so, when i start the car on the first try it tumbles rough for a brief few seconds and cuts off, on the 2nd start, it would start up properly, it is constantly doing this (morning and evening). Anyone has any ideas on this.

One thing i did after doing some research online was to mash my X as soon as i started the car while it was about to rough tumble, this actually caused the car to not cut off and it stayed on.

My lancer does the exact same thing when the spark plugs need to change and i also a get a unburnt gas smell from the exhaust. Classic cold start symptoms. After changing them its back to normal. I have the 2.0L. This may or maynot help with your issue but just sharing my experience.
