Rear Seat Belt for Lancer A17_ (a.k.a. Box Lancer)

Hi Guys!
I need a little help from you.. I'm planning to put a baby carrier on my rear seat but i dont have rear seat belts. Does it have one during late 80's? Do you have a picture or part number of it so i can compare it to our local store.

As far as I found the legislation for rear seatbelts was introduced globally as early as 1989. A17s were produced from 1979-1986, perhaps later in other markets. Personally, I have never seen any rear seatbelts in a box lancer.
My suggestion: retrofit from another vehicle. The anchor points are the most important. I suggest using nuts, bolts and washers at a suitable point on the chassis.
Just a suggestion.

Thanks Mad Hatter! I might consider this when I get tired of finding an original rear seat belt for my Box Lancer..

Hi Black Scorpion, i tried looking in european market..unfortunately, i haven't found one yet.. they say the lancer ex turbo has it though i've never seen one.

This may only be possible by looking around for used parts, there are a few posts with parts, u may be lucky, of course condition might be a problem

OP did you ever find the belts? I had a lancer with rear seatbelts the chassis number started A174A which was foreign assembled. Try to see if you could hunt down those old super saloon galants as i've seen a few of them with rear seatbelts.

Hi Hindian,
I haven't found one... I'm looking into galant GTi (1990 model) rear seat belts. I'll try to find a room for the retractor..
