Does the (CK) 4G15 and 4G92 carry the same gearbox?

As topic states does anyone know of this...if they carry slightly differernt ratios, which is better for acceleration?

Both carry same gear ratios but the final drive is shorter in the CK2...

meaning that basically if both cars had same engine, power, person driving, weight etc the Ck4 will have better top end and eventually edge the CK2 box...

Best accelerations would be from a MIVEC gearbox.

yeah but in this case, the engine is a GSR 4G93T...will the 4G15 box run out the gears too fast? and will the 4G92 box be more suitable...I heard u hadda run the rpm high to get the full potential of the MIVEC box...so runnin a boosted engine on a mivec box would be overkill...correct me if i'm wrong...also a mivec box is not that easy to find...please inform me otherwise....

Shorter = more acceleration but you run out of gears... I just gave you all the options to your answer which was more acceleration.

Now that you've cleared up your engine, the best option is obviously the 4G92 box.

A MIVEC is naturally aspirated... it was made for high revving... not low end torque like a turbo engine produces.... most gearboxes are for the lack of a better word "tuned" to suit what the manufacturers believe give the best utilization of the engine's torque and powerband...

So typically a smaller engine car will have shorter ratios or final drives to utilize the most of the little torque they produce... this is why when you watch a manual for different engine choices they show the top speed slower in the smaller engined cars... and with turbocharged or large displacement cars you find the gear ratios are longer from factory.

Typically any final drive in the 3.1 or less is standard for mitsu AWD turbo drivetrains and 3.7 and more in N/A cars.

I had a 1.3 on a 1.8 box once and it had GREAT mileage... gas never seemed to run out but I could never seem to get the car to max speed because the engine couldn't push it... the ratios were too long. Similarly, now I have a 4G93T on that same box and of course it's vastly shorter... 1'st gear is just a tyre burner... and top speed is limeted to the engine's redline...

Anyway before I drift off too much, the best option you have is the 4G92 gearbox... it's "taller" in gears than the other boxes...
