Has anyone installed this mod on their evo?

If so, how did you install it ?

depends on the type of can. The Cusco I'm running had an evo specific bracket to bolt at the firewall. Then as per their instructions, remove the hose going into the side of the rocker cover and blank it off, then install a hose from the catch can to that. then leave the other one to vent to atmosphere.

There are other ways and other areas to install it for different types of cans. But you should try an internet search to see all the ideas and options.... evolutionm and lancerregister are 2 of the greatest.

I have done allot of research on the matter and it basically comes down to two options

1) vent the oil waste air to atmosphere
2) or re-route them back into the intake form the catch can.

There where many arguments about 1 and 2 but then again these where on different model cars.
I wanted to know more for the 4g63 engine point of view whether to vent to atm or re-route the lines back into the intake.

Also i notice that there are to vent port on the head that goes back into the intake at different points, one of them being the PCV. I was wondering if i join both the lines together so they can use one catch can.

Also i notice during my readings that some systems include a check valve. I was wondering if this is necessary.

the VTA a lot of people mention for the environmental aspect... especially if you kicking a lot of oil. Others say that routing it back negates the purpose.

Cool thanks mishi.

What are your views on using one catch can to accommodated both the breather and PCV?

Honestly I wouldn't. I'd get the double catch can I saw from saikou michi and use one to pcv and one to vent tube

Okay I think I would just install it on one loop, but in your opinion where do you get the greatest amount of blow-by, the PCV or the breather?

FYI

I saw CUSCO has a new catch can out.
