It's a little tough to figure... is the car turning over at all? Also what happened to the car the moment the belts let go?
If a belt bursted then either it wasn't changed in a long time, had a defect, or component on the driveline has some damage that caused the belt to shred and take out the other belt in the process...
Check and see if there's any pieces of the belt wrapped around anything. Check to see if anything may have been damaged by the debris of the belts as it's not impossible it could have damaged some electrical component.

What brand belt did you use? The gdi has a reputation for destroying inferior brand belts

Seriously. Use Gates or Sun.

Had a timing belt go 2 months after locksmith and the gangs changed it... and it sounds ominously like that happened. The car would turn over but it was more of a constant electrical sound rather than the more rough 'chug a chug' sound you normally get when a car is only tumbling. When the timing belt goes you don't get any compression.

I Personal messaged you but for every body's benefit, the valves can be found at good Parts places, walk with your good valve. A friend of mine got hers at PT Auto. ALso her belt snapped within four months after changing timing belt. The belt tensioner was adjusted too tightly !
