Postby Metallicork » September 26th, 2009, 7:39 am

Yeah fellas....I'm a strict Toyota man but thinking of a change. I have a pal willing to let go of a VRG galant with a 6a12tt engine..Auto and powered....Have some minor details to work out with the car but I would like to know how much should I pay for a car like this.....??

Yes the value of the car would depreciate in general.

It has a V6 2.0L twin turbo engine in it, so the person will not want to sell cheap, plus you can get a second hand Galant for about $50,000 to $60,000 depending on model/engine size/ etc.

My price don't have to be exact, that's just my estimation!
But I know mitsubishi people don't sell their ride cheap unless it has problems with it lol.

That's a very important question!
I for one, have no idea...I never went to source this particular engine before.

if it was a SR20DET conversion then it will go for cheap. Cause nobody will buy it.

if the 6A13TT transplant thats a really big upgrade if it was done well front an back then it worth the $80k....... but if he just installed the engine without changing timing an fan belts and water pump and service the alternator......well your mech will ketch he arse taking it out to do it for you.

if he install a rear AYC diff system but did not install the AYC pump or the AYC sensors the clutches in the diff will eventually burn out an you will have to go in search of a LSD diff
