ShIvAm,what car do you want to put the engine in? also, type? awd, fwd, rwd? 4G63 in FWD is a handful lol, better to go with the 93. the 63 is a beast tho,

What's your budget?... Multiply most expensive engine price by 2 or 3!... at least! That's what it takes.

Both excellent engines. Stock 4G63T = More power & Torque = More $$$$ than stock SR20DET.

But you don't sound very serious about it. What are you going to use the car for?
---> Daily Driver?---> Street/Drags?---> Solodex?---> All?... More options ---> = MORE $$$.

If you're really serious, start doing a ton of research before you spend your $$$... and you need plenty $$$.
Search 3ne 2nr... and The Mitsubishi MadMen Forum on Zorce.com first...
Then here... Link--> The Mitsubishi 4G63 Guide.
Then here... Link--> SR20 DET Specs.
Then Google... Yahoo... etc. etc.

If you decide on 4G63... Congrats!... Now read here first... Link--> Project Zero G.
Sanctifier wrote:Now get a Bank loan... Seriously!... If you try to save, it will take forever... and you'll NEVER finish!
Been there!... Done that!

BUY BRAKES, SUSPENSION & WHEELS FIRST!... Then Gearbox & Diff... Then stock engine... etc.
If you "chinks" on any of these, your car will always be unreliable.

My $0.02¢

Was their a rearward mounted version of the 4G63T.

If not, plan on paying a minimum 12k for engine and GB and if your lucky transfer case. You then need strong diff to handle that torque since more than likely you will be condemning the front wheel drive off the GB.

As sanctifier rightfully said, high aspirations should be accompanied by deep pockets.

janfar, heard people used the rx7 2nd gen box on them. i remember seeing a 63 in a box lancer with mods last year. torque like WOW

Seriously now. How would that work. Im guessing the engine will have to be mounted rearward as opposed to transversely.

How much you gonna pay for a RX gb.

janfar, they uesd a plate for the gb. the engine is mounted rearward. for a shell like the box lancer tho, car seemed to have too much power.

Well, with a light chassis like that and a GB with the short ratios like the RX that would have massive torque, top speed wont be high though.

janfar, who needs top speed in trini?
