Mitsubishi Bolts

Yeah folks,

Well today while working on my engine (4g13) I sheared one of the bolts that holds the fuel rail to the intake manifold.

I was wondering if you can buy a 'set' of spare bolts for these engines, so that when this happens again it wouldn't be a problem. (luckily managed to get the broken bit out)

Also sheared two of the bolts holding the heatshield to the exhaust manifold, but the broken bits are now stuck in the exhaust manifold, not sure how to get them out, seems they were rusted stuck into it.

Anyone experienced these problems when taking apart these older engines (its about 10 years old)?

Try a drill with a small drill bit, if you can see the bolt. Drill the center, hopefully it splits the bolt in to big pieces, use a strong magnetic to pull out the pieces.

Drill a hole using a bit slightly smaller than the bolt. Then use a tap set. Make sure you have the correct pitch set.
