Pulley may have a bend or the bearing on which it rotates is starting to wobble

How much quarts of oil does the tranny take? Do I have to vacuum the oil out or does it have a drain cork?

There is a drain cork. At DM they did a simple drain and refill. Took approx 5quarts.

When cleaning the e throttle, do I have to reset it using a OBD? For the Cy 1.6

CY AC ISSUES

Postby anthonyanthony » April 10th, 2018, 7:13 pm

Lately I am getting this problem.
When the outside temp is above 32 degrees C, the ac cooling shuts off ie the compressor shuts off and the engine cooling fan switches over to low speed.
Sometimes the ac LED on knob flashes but most times it remains on once ac is switched on.
But when the outside temp falls below 32 , the ac functions , ie blows ice cold air (compressor starts back and engine fan switches over to high speed)
I replaced the cabin filter and wash out the condenser at front of car but the problem still occurs at times.
Anyone experience this with their car and what was done. CY is now 8 yrs old.
One house ac man check it and said the gas level is ok.. he suggested the problem could be a high pressure issue , ie pressure switch is sensing a high pressure or the drier may be clogged and need replacing.

OK , I checked out a place in bamboo, right by grand bazzar.
He told me it is giving a high pressure reading and said the drier and expansion valve will have to be replaced.
He said he did a few vehicles like mine and every thing labour and material will be $1400.00.

All right , I got the issue with my a/c sorted out .
The drier was replaced , cabin filter changed and system gassed up .
Total cost was $1400 and now it is blowing super cold at 25.

Gecko is failure, in terms of ride quality and durability.
I suggest Yellow Speed for a budget coilover. DRL Performance is the local agent.

I'll look at it thanks. I'm also seeing other brands like godspeed, truhart and J2. Anyone has any experience with those?

Folks, after a 8 year hiatus or so, I think I'll be re-joining the lancer family.

Had a CK4, then CS and am now looking at getting the CY from DM.

Currently priced at 185. Their 7 year plan seems attractive if you out 40% down. From my calculations, it may be cheaper to go this route considering ur getting fully comp insurance.

Not the route I'm going...but thought it would be good to share.

Hoping that the lancer treats my family and I well, since I plan on treating it well.

Would any of you guys be interested in purchasing replacement OEM antennas? We all know they simply start to become brittle after approx 6 years.

Buying a pin may not necessarily be the fix if the caliper itself is worn. The caliper may need a bushing in it.

Tbh I used some strips of plastic bottle and put it in the caliper and the noise eased up a bit... I wud try using a strip of aluminum.
