All right tuners, on most vehicles the front tires wear out more than the rear.
It is recommended to equalize wear on all four tires, that these should be rotated in a certain
sequence as explained in the vehicle's manual.
Now if you follow Tyre rotation, when time to buy tires you will have to buy 4 one time.
It is also recommended (based on info I read on line ) that you should not keep your
tires for more than 4 yrs (I think) since the tire rubber material will start to deteriorate and this will
lead to some safety issues ( for vehicles that are running and exposed to the elements daily ).
If your vehicle is parked up most of the time and not exposed to the elements, always
armourled, then this is a different issue. In this case your tire can last you about 10 years.
For a lazy person like me I do not rotate tires, then every 2.5 years I replace my front tires
when it is worn (since I do not rotate I thus have to replace tires in two's instead of four's).
To make sure I do not keep tires for more than 4 years I put the new ones in the rear and the previous rear in front. These ones in front now will usually need replacement in about 1 to 1.5
years since they already have some degree of wear from being in the back.
My issue was how the new tires was looking although it is of the same make.
As I said previously all my tires are 225's but the rear ones are now skinny and the front
is fat.
By the way my warranty will be up at end of July.
I have my original alloy rims and tires up for sale, if anyone interested PM me.
