MISHI wrote:^ Actually I polished mine often, but it's gotten to the age where all the lil fine cracks appear like dry rotting plastic usually does... I know I have to change em soon & I really want some evo 9 MR lights but I can't justify 9000+ for a pair... especially when I'm still working on funds to do the "200k" service on the car.

Ent is lil' lil' Tobago you from?
I recently did my 100K service earlier this year, well I did it at 98K.

Car long past that... doing 90000 miles (145000km) on the ODO but the deal there is that the belts were changed in December 2005.

Mitsubishi timing belts should be changed at the mileage or every 5 years. When I saw 6 I decided then I wouldn't take the risk... not to mention at 10 years old and all the seals, water pump etc hasn't been changed in it. not to mention:

- Broken bolt for serpentine tensioner to extract
- Oil sump pan to retread/ replace
- Front sway bar that was missing to install
- Clutch to replace
- Leaking transfer case seals to replace

among other little things

I was considering to install the Beatrush AYC diff stopper kit I bought for it (hard to find) but in the sake of just trying to get the finances set up I decide to put it up for sale along with a few other things.

And to think I have to deal with the timing belt and seals etc for the other lancer NEXT year... (sigh)

My CS Project will now be a 2 year project due to, UPCOMING "FAMILY" :D

I have it up for sale of interest only, if not by next month, i'll keep. Will be doing the entire body over, front with evo 7 headlights, fenders, custom bumper and custom bonnet as well as evo 8 rear fenders and evo 8 MR tail lights and custom back bumper. Car will be using stock CS brakes for the while with drop shocks/springs. A normal 4G15 Engine + Box with a small turbo will be used for the year or so after things get sorted out.

Stage 2 involves........*well when this stage is months before ready to do, i'll write up. Too much goodies to list*

er no. I don't have the confidence (or oven large enough) to do that. besides my lenses already have those fine cracks which will just show up more in black.

Will have to buy new lights anyway.

From reading I gather that tuners look down on chrome rims. But true it's my choice and I like them.
