I polish them from time to time with Mother's. I think the trick is to keep them from getting that haze in the first place

^ Actually I polished mine often, but it's gotten to the age where all the lil fine cracks appear like dry rotting plastic usually does... I know I have to change em soon & I really want some evo 9 MR lights but I can't justify 9000+ for a pair... especially when I'm still working on funds to do the "200k" service on the car.

not sure going so big, but i'm looking at white so far.

I kinda dig the white on white effect. It's not set in stone as yet though.

I find the white on white looks too plain  I'm considering some orange wheels but I may have to lower the car some more to pull that one off!

Gearbox = BETTER car control = Safer driving.
Why not buy a rwd, ol' school "beater" for him to drive... and let him spend HIS money (allowance & chores)... and work with him to fix it.
That way... RWD (safer handling)... both of you work on it (so he takes better care of it)... let him spend HIS $$$ on it... (so he drives more carefully)... buy him a Defensive Driving Course (he'll live longer.)

BTW your car will then say in one piece... :)

Came back from US 6 weeks ago with my son after his surgery... so $$$ tight as expected.

I got this just before the surgery...

Then I got hit by that HUGE medical bill... but hopefully the ToyRoom (workshop) renovations will be over soon...
The Evo 6 upgrade comes 1st... the 4wd 1800 GSR/E6 Clone next... and then the rwd 1800 GSR will follow.
The rwd Lancer 1800 GSR will be the most fun of the three projects for me...
Sanctifier wrote:DIY"Immersion Tank" Electrolysis (COMPLETE rust removal)... Body prep & Paint like E6 (below)... 4G93T + 5-speed...
E6 Brembos + 16" rims (5-hole Starion?)... + Galant/Starion IRS + LSD <-- THAT last one has me interested. 8-)

1st up: Evo 6 Solodex upgrade...
Sanctifier wrote:Rebuilt short-block... US-rebuilt gearbox & LSD...
rebuilt ProFlex coil-overs ... 18" rims & tyres, etc... Evo X brakes (2-piece ft.) 8-)
DIY strip... soda-blast... stitch-weld... foam-seal... custom paint.
= $$$$$ so I'll see how it goes.

just make sure if you hit a pothole or something it doesn't start misfiring again
