Evo 7 tyre question

Postby AXEL » December 20th, 2010, 9:52 am

Has anyone ever put 245/40/17 on their evo 7? I want to go wider than the stock 235/45/17. Will the 245 work without problems?

Used both 255/40R17 and 245/40R17 DZ101 on the stock rims. They both touch the stone shield which gets torn apart very easily. If my stone shield were still intact, I'd go back to stock 235/45R17 with some stickier tires. The 255/40R17 do feel nice threw a corner. The 245/40R17 not worth it imho.

Your lucky I guess but I have the proof in my car. :(
The The 245/40r17 tore them up and 255/40r17 is in the process of tearing them out.
What camber, caster and toe are you running?
