need help urgently CB3 libero carb

I am having a problem with a CB3 libero carb. it have a unit on it but when you take your finger and close it the car idles good.it is located on the side without the flap.will post some pics of the unit soon. can anyone give me some advice. i bought a foreign used carb. and still have the same problem.

get the pics up cause we're flying blind...

check and see if all your vacuum hoses are good in the meantime...

how can i check the units that the lines connect to?

The mechanic told me that this unit operates by itself. so i need to get the carb exchanged. if someone tamper with it then it will give trouble. what do you think about it?

From what I was digging up, It seems to be a mixture control valve. If your mech said to exchange it, then do so.

I am unsure about checking the units on carb cars... maybe there is a line which is missing or not runing where it should...
