would 4g92 gear box work on 4g18 engine?

i have 4g18 with auto tranny, would 4g92 gear box work? i think both engines
are 1.6 sohc.

yes it will work as both were factory fitted with the same gearbox - F5M41

this was a very good question asked, my mom recently bought the glx with a 4g18 cvt transmission and i was wondering if a gearbox would work with a 4g92 and a 4g18 motor.

Question though, will the ECU be the same or be calibrated to work with the gearbox vs the CVT. I was told that it doesn't function flush...

might not as the CVT and gearbox are different size

so teh lengths may be different

No it will not fit. Once you're doing a conversion from Tranny to gearbox...axels must be changed. Gearbox's come in different size than a Automatic Transmission/ CVT.
