Postby Cartel on Celebrity » June 24th, 2021, 10:18 pm

Hey tuners I bought a used Hilux about a year now and I want to change the gearbox and diff oil as the van is over 400,000 kms and not sure when the previous if ever changed so what oil do I use? It's a 2005 4x2 manual with a 2kd.

Gearbox is 75w90 GL4, you buy which ever brand you comfortable with
Takes about 4qts
Make sure its GL4 only
The GL5 damages the copper in the gearbox synchros

Rear diff can use the same 75w90 GL4
Or even 75/80w90 GL4 or GL5
Its about 2qts

GL4 or GL5 in both manual transmission and rear differential (75/80w90).
Get limited slip oil of you have an LSD
