DX Wagon rear bearings/brakes questions

Postby Satisfaction Guarenteed » April 30th, 2013, 8:42 pm

hey fellow tuners, i've got A EE103 wagon, my uncle also has one and we are getting some problems with the rear wheel bearing not holding out. I had to take off my 17s an use steel rim when i replaced the bearing cause im afraid of damaging them again. I wanna convert the back, any ideas on this. Maybe getting disc brakes or something. I noticed the fielder wagon have a similar set up of the hubs. Can the disc brakes from that work with some modification?

the 2000 engine 1998 corolla, or corolla gt models rear rotors will work . but there is a union that distributes the brake fluid to the front and rear may give some issues with pressure to the back, since drums and discs have different psi. on my ae100 i removed the inner valves of the union it worked well for me but i took a big gamble.
