My bro has a EP82 with the original 4E-FTE, and his clutch slave cylinder is "gone thru" been looking for one but no luck...so far.....are they any shops that can rebuild them? I've read on forums that people rebuild the Slave cylinder by pressing in new sleeves made out of iron? or is there any other slave cylinder in the Toyota family that can be interchanged ??
^^that guy an't replying the PM, anyone got a number for him? opend up the box and the clutch was well gone and the clutch fork was damagednow we need to get a clutch fork for the 4E-FTE the one we had has cracks on it
the guy owns a foreign used place in Penal, can't remember his number off hand. The place is on a corner lot not too far from Bics heading in the direction of Siparia, I'll pm the number if I find it
Check the 5efe Corolla cylinder, it should be the same size and capacity.
The clutch fork would be anyone from an A or E gearboxes. I believe Toyota used the same forks for both these applications.
Toyota is famous for reusing the same part throughout many engine designations. Just look around and you will find that to be true. I have been doing that with Toyota for years.
