And when last you changed oil? maybe the detergent ran its course and with the 140kph run with thin oil..... caused the engine to knock.

This is normal crackling that happens to cars after hard runs. Some cars do it just making a block to get Sunday newspapers.
Hot metal expands, and you'll note well that pretty much every metal component of the car is either welded or bolted together.
When you switch off, there's something called "heat soak" that occurs...basically with the engine off, there's no coolant flow or radiator fans running, so everything gets a bit hotter before it starts cooling, thus expanding a bit more before it contracts to normal dimensions, but not necessarily at the same time as the other metal connected to it...hence the creaking and crackling noises.
It's nothing to worry about.
