How many kilometres are on the odometer and how much oil loss is there?

100 000km and i have to add about a qt every 1500km.

:shock: nah man...that kind of oil consumption is +200,000km territory.

Inspect for leaks. Oil in intake hoses could indicate PCV failure, so change if necessary. Have your mechanic perform a compression test and a leak-down test to verify the condition of the engine.

Which corolla do you have-is it 1.5 or 1.6?
How regularly over the life of the vehicle was oil changed and what filter used.
Last but not least was the vehicle ever subjected to a over-heating trauma?
If infor. on the above enquiries are less than ideal you may really be facing an engine job.
In order to properly determine a full shop examination is required.
A quart of oil every 2 weeks or so without obvious signs of leaks is reason for concern.
