Yeah fellas bought this car in 1997 from my family doctor kept it 2 years and sold it to a good friend who crashed his own.Would u believe in 2011 i met him and he told me the car was parked up for a damaged door,low and behold i bought it back at a steal price

At present i am in the process of rebuilding a 3T-GTEU to replace the original stock 2T 1.6

car suppose to be painted this week looking at suspension upgrades any advice would be greatly appreciated direct bolt on preferably.

IMO a matte black wouldn't take well to the nice straight lines of a car like this unless you have a super aggressive kit, a powerplant from Hell and have it properly stanced on some deep-dish rims with stretch-fitted rubber. Magazine material basically...you hafta go big if you're going that route.

Have you considered the more classic look of a factory colour option from that or another era or vehicle?
take for example these colour chips for FJ40

I could see a TE71 looking good in factory Mica Red and rims like this tho.

:lol: but ah jus said "mica red" breds

once it doesn't look gloppy like bad nail polish, I find it looks real good on older square-body cars when the paint job is real clean

check glens super shop in montrose, they had some old school rims, mostly 13s and 14s

d red my wagon has or a shade close to it shud look good on ur car or if u dont want it too bright maybe a nice gun metal gray or dark metallic\pearl gray ...
