Advice needed

Postby toyota2nr » December 12th, 2010, 11:49 pm

Guys need some advice:

I sent my NZE to paint and I just got it back today.
However I have noticed that when I start the car the ABS light on the dashboard remains on and does not come off. I have reseated the fuse but it does not fix the issue.

Any advice on how to resolve this issue?

Check the sensors or the wiring to the sensors ... hopefully it wasn't damaged.

That issue maybe due to faulty plugging back from the painter or if the sensor is goin bad because they do from to time . And another thing see if its jacked in properly or exposed . If not u need to carry it to ur mechanic and put it on the diagnostics and either clear the code or if otherwise see if the sensor needs changing due to damage or other sort . I dealt with issues like this already , and that what i encountered . Do check the wires first then proceed to the mechanic for further info and dealing with ur problem .

Well I checked the engine bay and the ABS unit looks good. Where else would I need to check the wiring or if it needs to be plugged back in?

Thanks

UPDATE:

Seems the nuthead painters cut the wire going to the sensor. Went to the mechanic and got it fixed.

Thanks for your help guys.
