lyndondz, 6.5" in the front and 5.25" in the back. note that the speakers are rivetted on to a plastic mounting, which is then screwed onto the door.

6 x 9s will fit in the backdash, but u will have to cut the metal below the backdash. i won't advise cutting it, but its all up to u.

no problem man.
the mounting depth is deep enough too, so average sized mids can fit comfortably.

Ok so ah sorry if I asking this in the wrong place and excuse my ignorance too, but I have a local 2007 NZE, speakers are on the four doors as well and I wanna make a slight upgrade to the audio. I find the sound is good already, I just want a lil extra something...to boost it. Nothing too fancy or expensive is needed.

I not into the cutting either and I dont wanna ruin the back dash UNLESS there is someone who will do it neat and clean and have everything looking (and of course sounding) right up

Any ideas guys?

^^ i suggest that if u want a little upgrade to ur audio, please do not cut ur back dash, just swap the speakers in all four doors. i changed the audio system in my car by only swapping the door speakers, one amp, one sub in trunk, and changed the head unit - major difference. if someone looked into my car, no one would guess i had music in it, unless i turn it on.

i wanna do the same thing as Civic, but i have a recently installed pioneer DEH-P4100UB deck in the car and someone told me to jus replace the door speakers with some good pioneer ones and that should be it. i'm not sure what size my back door speakers are but i know my speakers in front are 6".
Will that be ok?

the stock speakers in the NZE corolla are 6.5" in front and 5.25" on the back doors. however, 6.5" will fit in the back. i swapped out my stock speakers for 6.5" right around.

Sorry for only just responding. Only now getting a chance to check 2nr.
Thanks alot for the input. Sounds like a good plan.

Anywhere you guys recommend to purchase and install at a good price? How much should I expect to spend if I just wanna upgrade the 4 door speakers?
