i want to know best brakes upgrade for a KE 70 wargon.......need some stoping power.

a buddy of mines uses maxima twin pot in the front and s13 in the back in his ke70

um how bout some brembo caliper covers? just kidding! Zeriam, would he have to make a bracket to hold the caliper in the back? wouldn't it be easier to probably get a disc brake diff? like a galant or sumtin and fabricate to fit for the ke??

so a gyul cah ask a question? i thought asking questions is ah good way to find out things....i really dont know what it is!

toymod, Not sure if i am any help, but i got a pair or complete spring n shock with rotors and calipers foreign used for my KE 70, the rotors and calipers are actually the same on the Tercel, gives great stopping power.

For the back its a bit different, the Diff on the Wagon id a bit bigger than the Sedan, i think..... You will have to experiment, i was trying myself, but i did not want to commit the money for the upgrade

This will involve removing both axles from the diff, then removing the plate with the slave cylinders and brake shoes. Leaving them all off, put back the axles on and make sure you seal them properly. the next move is to acquire a set of rear discs from a Club S laurel, the bolting pattern is the same. cut off the caliper bracket with a saw, and machine your axles for the rotors to go over them. also you need to get extended studs. once studs are in place, and the rotors on, the caliper can be put in place with the bracket hanging. once offered onto the banjo, the caliper bracket is ready for welding. after that, its just the brake lines and the tricky handbrake cables. May have to change the booster and Master cylinder for more pressure.

if you have time and money, its worth a try, i never did, cuz i only had that one car at the time, i am gonna try this as my KE 70 is down for now.

i convert my rear drum brakes into disc brakes same original diff jus did sum minor adjustments: wats needed????? wel i use p11 rear calipers an i use u13 tawa(rotor disc) handbrakes cable from d p11 primera so ppl you can try it i have no problem wit my brakes or forgot to mention i changed my booster an master cylinder i used e24 booster an 101 master cylinder....................................

What's the PCD on those rotors tho? I take it u hafta use "universal" rims and use the 4*100 holes in front and the 4*114 holes for the rear?

P11 is 4x114. I did this on my ke 70 wagon. I did not weld the brackets, but lined the caliper and rotor and made a template of the bracket to bolt on my diff. It a little more work and time, but I rather the bolt on than welding.

Try to look around for a Celica or something within that year model, Toyota uses many parts which are interchangable. It just takes some time to look around the bamboo for options. The things I have found within the Toyota line which works with other Toyota models are staggering.
