Vios Owners/Drivers

Postby idlemind » January 7th, 2009, 10:53 am

I'm looking for Suspension Parts for 2003 Vios.
I know this is not the right place to ask for parts but I did some searching and the two places that were called (Toyota and Japan Motors) are not helping us.

Car was purchased from Japan Motors and they are giving us a run around. Toyota is saying that Yaris parts cant work.

Car was involved in an accident and the impact was mainly on the passenger front wheel. As such we need Front Left shock, Front Left Rack Ends, and other miscellanous left front suspension parts.

Luckily the body parts were not badly damaged.
Can anyone please offer some assistance.

Thanks

i dont think toyota is being honest with you cause i checked them for shocks, gave them my vin number and they quoted me around $525 per shock ( and those were the yaris), as for japan motors, i can share your disappointment cause i purchase my vios from them as well, after sale service is extremely poor, seems once they get your money thats it, you could probaly check m&n in the bamboo, but dont call go in, other than that i dont anywhere else... hope that was helpful..

exactly, i dont think they know its really a yaris with a corolla engine(the 1nz-fe). i recently bought some boot rubbers from TTTL, all they wanted was the vin number, when they entered it, all the parts for the car came up. the car is not too popular here but in singapore and malaysia they are, you could also sign up with vios club in those two countries as well, they offer tons of advice in just about every aspect of the car. i even communicate with a few of the guys there for troubleshooting small problems.
Japan motors also told me when i bought mine from them that they stock body parts(not too sure how true that is though)....anyways good luck buddy, anything futher just ask...

idlemind,
rdeonarine is quite correct about your Vios.
As a matter of fact, at the moment three identical cars are sold in Trinidad as the Yaris, in Japan as the Belta, and Thailand &Singapore as the Vios.
